Cressbrook Junior Band

Cressbrook Band have a thriving 'Learners' section who form a Junior Band and give 3 concerts per year. Many of the current senior band started as either adult or junior learners.

In 2007 Cressbrook Band won a grant from 'Awards for All' to purchase a set of instruments  for the Learners, and a separate grant from the local Bingham Trust to fund tuition.

Currently the Band have 10 'learners', aged between 7 and 47. We provide tuition for those who need it (some of our learners get tuition from school or pay privately for it), both children and adult learners.

We also have a weekly practice when the Junior Band play together as a group and learn a set of pieces in order to play concerts. We feel this is an important learning experience, especially for the children, and we welcome players of all ages and at all stages of their development.
